If you have any questions that were not answered in the FAQ section of the website, please don’t hesitate to email VNHomeworkHelp@ViperNationEF.org with questions or concerns.
Q: How old does the child have to be in order to sign up for tutoring?
A: We tutor any children in elementary, middle, or high school.
Q: What do the child and the tutor do if they have spare time at the end of their tutoring session?
A: If the child completes his or her work before the tutoring session is over, we provide games or books from the free Library/Book Swap to keep him or her busy.
Q: Do you only help students with specific assignments or do you have focus areas as well, like good study habits (i.e. different ways to memorize and the best way to do homework)?
A: Your child may bring any materials they need to work on. This could include homework, spelling words, or any other study materials. We are also happy to teach students good study habits. If this is the case, please indicate that you would like the tutoring sessions to be focused on good study habits. Please be sure to bring material that your student needs to study, so that the tutor can use that as a basis for teaching study habits.
Q: How do I sign my child up?
A: Click on the above orange “Parent/Student Sign Up >” button.
Q: What should I do if I need to cancel my child’s tutoring session?
A: If you need to cancel, we prefer that you cancel directly on the SignUp.com page. If this is very last minute, please call Cups & Cones at 512-266-2444 and ask to speak with a Viper Nation Homework Help officer.
Q: Who will tutor my student?
A: All tutors are high school students from one of the Vandegrift High School organizations. Many students are a part of National Honor Society, PALS (Peer Assistance Leadership and Service), and Mu Alpha Theta.
